Car ride (both ways): left the house around 8:00 am and got back around 6:15pm, 3 hours both ways, up and down pathways, upset stomach, crazy bumps, crazy traffic, incredible views, cool rice paddies (out the window), camera’s going click, click, click,, cute monkeys (out the window), signs, horns honking, kids sleeping in the back seat, me napping, movies being watched.
On the way to the waterfalls: lots of people, monkeys fighting, newborn monkey hanging to its momma, camera’s going click, click, click,, noises of many waterfalls, people playing and bathing in the water, mist in the air, noises from many different people, kids splashing, adult men getting oil massages, security officers doing their job, nice little food shops along the way, monkeys stealing the food from the shops.
Cini waterfalls: big, huge, mist, camera’s going click, click, click,, people wanting to get pictures with us, monkeys playing amongst themselves in the rocky areas, we had to cross a rushing water bridge type thing where Zachary almost slipped and fell, there was a railing otherwise we wouldn't have crossed, on the other side we saw some little food shops and some waterfalls from an even different view, we bought a bag of chips and had some cookie bars while we were sitting 'cause all us kids were hungry, we saw a man and a boat man get into a coracle around where we were to go fishing.
Little food area/market: we bought some lunch = Mirinda, dosa's, potato chips,, we sat down and a monkey came and was pretty close, we think he wanted our food :), a couple bullocks were in the street along with some goats, Zachary and I both wore red, oooopps :), thankfully nothing happened.
Coracles: 3 adults, 3 kids, + a driver/the boat person, 1 boat, many different currents, only 1 paddle to get us to the other side safely, no life-jackets, wet butts, tar along the sides of the coracle boat, nice cool water splashing on our faces and legs and arms, the boat person spun us in the boat (SUPER FUN!!!), bumps in the water (that got mom soaked), men swimming in the water.
Main waterfalls: got out of the coracle, went up a little trail, walked across a bridge that was right above rushing water, we walked up to a little platform to get a better view of the main waterfalls, camera's went click, click, click,, people got down from the platform and were walking in the water closer to the waterfalls to get closer, we didn't go down just because the current was pretty fast.
Entrance/exit: we rode in a coracle just like before back to the place where our car was waiting for us, we had to get some towels out to sit on because our butts were all wet from the coracle, we bought some cold water and some Sprite, then we went home after a fun day at Hogenakkal Falls :).
